January 24, 2018 is the opening night for our AWANA program.
As an expression of our love for Jesus we desire to reach the community of Pensacola with the gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples. Our desire is to share the love of Jesus to the families of this community. AWANA accomplishes this through handbooks that details the gospel, focuses on Scripture memorization in small groups, teaching practical lessons that cover what and why we believe what we believe. We desire to teach the kids to love and honor God and thier parents.
All of our workers are required to have background checks done, and are trained to ensure your child's safety.
Throughout the year, clubbers participate in three different segments of the AWANA program:
Game Time: Team competition takes place in our unique circle games and during other playground favorites. The Awana game circle provides maximum opportunity for children to get involved, no matter their athletic ability. They unleash their energy while learning teamwork, sportsmanship and other character traits through their participation.
Handbook Time: Kids work one on one with a trained leader to finish assignments in their curriculum materials. Awana emphasizes memorizing and understanding key Bible verses that teach children how to know and follow God. A series of awards and trophies reward their achievements at every level.
Council Time: Kids and leaders gather together for singing, announcements, awards presentations and, most importantly, a practical Bible message
Currently our program hosts clubs for:
Sparks (K-2nd grade)
Truth & Training (3rd-6th grade)
