We are an independent Baptist church who has been part of the Pine Forest Estates community for over 30 years. Construction began on our auditorium and fellowship hall in September of 1976, and we had our first service at 2550 West Nine Mile Rd. on February 20, 1977. Prior to being at this address, we were known as the Granada Baptist Church of 9th Avenue. In August of 2008, construction was completed on a new family life center that is used for recreation and community enrichment.

Today we exist to embrace the call of making disciples of Jesus Christ. We accomplish this by sharing our lives and participating in numerous fellowship and educational activities. A disciple of Christ regularly attends worship, fellowships with other believers by connecting in a group, grows deeper in his relationship with God, and looks for an opportunity to serve in a ministry.

We enjoy regular opportunities for fellowship after evening services or Saturday evenings. We schedule recreational activities for young families. We provide organized youth fun nights. We teach our children the truth of God’s word in an interesting format. We see value in the exposition of Scripture. Our desire is to share the original message of Jesus Christ with a changing world.

We are a traditional church that still uses a hymn book and sings the familiar songs of the “greatest generation.” A regular staple  of our music program is a special number by the choir in each of our Sunday services. We are not afraid of technology and often use it to enhance a presentation or make announcements before the service begins. Although we are traditional, we are not a slave to tradition. We would like to think that our sole authority for faith and practice is the Word of God.

We know that we are not the only church in Pensacola that loves the Lord, and we know that we are not the only church in Pensacola that preaches and teaches the gospel of Jesus Christ, but we do believe that God is doing something special at our church.
