The greatest thing that ever happened in my life is…

when Jesus came into my heart and washed away all my sins.  He also gave me a new life with the desire to do right and please my Savior.

What my life was like before Christ…

Life in itself was hard because of our fallen nature.  I did not like living in this world.  I did not like people taking advantage of me.  I was small but terrible. I would make other people miserable as I had hate and unforgiveness in my heart.  Most of all, I had sin and darkness in my heart.  I also had a lot of fear about the future.  I was unhappy.

How I came to know Christ…

My family was a Christian home, and I went to a Christian school.  I heard about Jesus a lot, but I did not want to get saved because I was afraid that I would not be happy.  One day during school, an evangelist came by and we were all rounded up to listen to him preach.  I did not go forward during the invitation.  The preacher said that we could accept Jesus by our self without the help of any other people.

We then had a little break before going to class again.  While standing in line, the Holy Spirit worked in my heart saying that if Jesus were to come, I would have to go through the tribulation.  I asked Jesus to wash me clean and come into my heart and save me.  He did!

What my life is like now with Christ…

The first feeling that I had when I got saved was relief.  I got it taken care of.  Then I discovered that if I did things pleasing to God, He gives me joy.  Being a Christian is great after all.  God has given me victory over my temper.  I am able to accept thing that happen to me without getting very angry and looking for retribution.  My life principle now is, “as long as it pleases God, it is ok with me.”  God gives me the victory and grace to go through life.  I have a new desire to please God my Savior!
